The Timexpo Museum in Waterbury actually has two main themes. It tells the story of Timex and its predecessor, the Waterbury Clock Company, dating back to the 1850's. And a Time Tunnel that leads to a gallery on ancient civilizations with exhibits on early ocean navigation and archaeology. This museum has hands on exhibits, interactives, computer kiosks, light, sound and video and a great watch and gift store. There is a great clock gallery displaying many of the antique and vintage timepieces in the museum collection as well as an exhibit on character watches, such as Mickey Mouse, made by Waterbury Clock Company and later Timex.
