Agonist Gallery is a new arts and sciences center in an historic building in Broad Brook. It offers monthly exhibitions in fine art photography and other media, as well as classes and workshops in science and the arts. The gallery is owned by Jeff Holcombe, an award winning local photographer with a Ph.D. in science from Michigan and over 30 years of teaching science. The mission of the gallery is to explore the overlap of art and science, and use art approaches to develop a life-science STEM project that will complement robotics programs in local high schools. "Dr. Moss" developed an interest in art through his research in cell biology, and he would like now to reverse that process- inspiring an interest in science through art, photography, and new Virtual Reality technology.
