Another gem from the owners of Vaughan's Public House and Agave Grill, this Wood-n-Tap boasts the same dark, wooden interior d├ęcor as the other Wood-n-Tap restaurants. At the Southington location service is uniformly pleasant and the attitude is honest and accepting. You'll find your basic bar food here: wings, salads, burgers, ribs, chicken, steaks, pasta and pizza. All the stuff you crave and plenty of it. Every neighborhood should have a Wood-n-Tap. If you're looking for a place to have a beer, a plate of wings or an honest burger, this is it. The come-as-you-are attitude is for real.

We arrived at around 6PM on a Tuesday evening and were surprised to find the parking jammed packed. The restaurant is larger than I expected so seating was not a problem though on exiting an hour later we noted people waiting. We each ordered a cup of the evening's special soup, baked potato with a little crumbled bacon and melted cheese on top. It was not quite hot, but otherwise very good. The turkey club included the usual ingredients, but what stood out were the for thick slices of roasted turkey breast. We had a choice of fries and chose the sweet potato which were excellent. Overall, this club was better that what we were served recently at their affiliated restaurant, TD Homers. (
