The Manchester Public Library is pleased to host local writer and lecturer David Garnes to talk about his latest book, Back to Manhattan: A Life in New York.
Garnes will speak on Back to Manhattan, a collection of memoir essays about his life in New York from 1963-1981. From the campus of Columbia University to the midnight streets of Greenwich Village to the ageless beauty of The Cathedral of St. John the Divine and Gramercy Park, Back to Manhattan is an homage to the greatest city in the world. If you've ever lived in the Big Apple, visited, or are simply in love with New York, you will enjoy hearing more about one former New Yorker's life in the big city. Copies of Back to Manhattan and Garnes' other books will be available for purchase and signing on the night of the event.
