Museum Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. Hill-Stead Museum is a
Colonial Revival house and
art museum set on a large estate at 35 Mountain Road in Farmington,
Connecticut. It is best known for its French Impressionist masterpieces,
architecture, and stately grounds. Hill-Stead's grounds are open to the
public daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Visits to the Pope-Riddle
House at Hill-Stead Museum are by guided tour only except during
Discovery Days for Families--held the first Sunday of every month--and
other Hill-Stead Tour at Your Leisure Open Houses. Hour-long daily,
walk-in tours begin on the hour and half-hour with the last tour
beginning at 3 p.m.
