The Wallingford Historical Society will host a free program, Clockmaking and Collecting, presented by Kirtland Crump. Mr. Crump is a Wallingford native who, after majoring in mathematics and teaching for a time, started repairing clocks in his spare time. In the 1970's he began working with clocks full time.  After having a shop and showroom in Madison for over fifteen years, he moved his business into a restored nineteenth century barn on Whirlwind Hill Road in 1996. Today Kirt has over 250 clocks in his inventory.  Mr Crump is an authority on antique clocks and has given talks to many historical societies. Join us for an educational and entertaining talk on an American craft industry whose earliest beginnings were in Guilford and Wallingford, Connecticut.

Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
