Tuesday, September 10, 6:30 p.m., Medicare Workshop with Jamie Finkelstein, Southington Library. This Medicare workshop will center on helping employees and or individuals who are at or near Medicare age. We focus on helping those folks understand the enrollment processes, enrollment periods, timelines, deadlines, penalties, benefits and costs relating to Medicare coverage and Medicare plans. We will also review coordination of benefits issues and address questions involving Medicare and HSAs. Often employees may find that waiving off their employer plan and opting for Medicare makes more financial sense for them. Certainly, at the time the employee leaves employment, they will need to take some action and make some coverage decisions. Jamie Finkelstein has been with Beacon Retiree Benefits Group, LLC since 2002. Her time at Beacon has centered on both commercial and Medicare plan administration. She conducts workshops for employer group clients in educating both active and retired employees about Medicare. Jamie is actively engaged in assisting retirees aging into Medicare by ensuring they apply for Medicare and are properly enrolled in the Medicare programs. She is a licensed certified Health Producer in the state of CT, RI, and NJ.
