This course will provide a brief introduction to the concept of stock options and how they work. We will learn about the following components of options: stock prices; derivatives; long and short bets; put and call strategies; terminology of strike price, expiration date, and contract; relationships of in-the-money, out-of-the-money, and at-the-money; pure bet and hedging the bet; probability; reading the options table; common options spreads; Greek attributes of the option; and resources for future use.
