Info
Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Throughout the month of July, Barbara Ricketts will be displaying her photographs in the Community Room of the Lucy Robbins Welles Library. Interested viewers are encouraged to call prior to visiting to ensure that the Community Room is available for viewing. While photography is a fairly new pursuit for Barbara - begun in 2010 -, you'd never guess from the beauty and facility of her photographs. She finds that photography has deepened her connection to the world around her. She writes, "There is much beauty, vibrancy, and intricacy of balance in all that surrounds us. With camera in hand, my energy shifts to a slower pace and the environment unfolds before me." The exhibit, entitled Photo Expressions, reflects her love of nature. There are also photographs in the show that reveal how Barbara likes to play with perspective, abstraction, and reflections. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
