Saturdays, June 8, 15, 22 & 29, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ring Making, Manchester Community College, AST Room D132. $130, plus a $30 metal fee and a $2 studio fee. Come and learn the fundamentals of jewelry making. Students will make one ring or more, while learning how to use a jeweler's saw, file, solder, texture, and size the ring to fit. We will begin with a simple copper wire ring and continue working in silver with either sheet metal or a combination of sheet metal and wire. The instructor will provide all of the necessary tools. Please note: Students must register by Wednesday, June 5, to allow time for instructor to buy materials. A deposit for the purchase of metal is required at the first class, in addition to a $2 studio fee. Participants must be at least 14 years old.
