In this presentation, audience members will learn the
basic principles and rationale of cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), and how
this approach is used to conceptualize and treat anxiety-related disorders.
Audience members will be introduced to the broad framework of how one's
thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are related to each other in the development
and maintenance of symptoms of anxiety. There will be a 15 minute Q&A.
Terence Ching obtained his Master of Social
Sciences in Psychology from the National University of Singapore. He is
currently an advanced doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program
at the University of Connecticut.
