When hundreds of Lions gather in Cromwell for their 98th
annual convention will collect thousands of supplies for the
homeless. The convention begins with a "toga party" aimed at collecting bed sheets,
toiletries and other supplies to be distributed by local chapters of St. Vincent
Attendees will learn about Lions' global causes (vision, hunger,
diabetes, the environment and childhood cancer) and projects to impact these
causes in Connecticut. Attendees are also invited to a "Town Hall" meeting with
incoming president (2020) of Lions Clubs International, Judge Haynes Townsend.
The Connecticut Lions convention draws from 150 Lions clubs and 100+ Leos clubs statewide.
