Join Martha and Jim Alexander to discuss
how, as conscientious stewards of a historic property, they balanced historic
accuracy and 21st century living with award-winning results. Owlpen
Manor is an unusual American example of the English Arts and Crafts style. The
Alexanders completed a meticulous renovation of their house and gardens in 2008
and their efforts have won awards from the Connecticut Trust for Historic
Preservation, the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape
Architects, and the New Haven Preservation Trust. Refreshments will be served.
