This lecture series focuses on health and lifestyle topics, followed by discussion.
Discover how nature can guide, calm, inform and restore you with Marlow Shami. Studies conducted over the past twenty years confirm that contact with the natural world and meditation can lift your spirits, reduce anxiety, alleviate pain, increase brain function and help cultivate a sense of belonging and compassion. In this lecture, beautiful and compelling images support Marlow's focus on the challenges and rewards of connecting with nature in a mass-technological culture. After the lecture, there will be an outdoor component from 7:30-8 p.m. Come and experience the simple power of nature's healing effects through guided meditation and out-of-door experiential activities. Seating is limited, so registration is requested and begins April 3.
