This creative event, just in time for spring and summer entertaining, will feature themed table settings from local professional designers, florists, individuals, artists, and others featuring fresh floral arrangements, centerpieces and accessories. There will be 30 tables all around the Belle Ballroom of the historic North House, a former colonial-eraInn on the Providence-Albany Turnpike, which today is Route 44. Attendees will view these tables and meet many of the designers who will be present to talk about their creations. As a special attraction this year, there will be a 4' tall by 3' wide Victorian dollhouse to be raffled off at the end of the event.
Tickets are $15 per person and the winner does not need to be present to win. This stunning dollhouse was donated by Joan Blanchard of Blanchard Photography in Simsbury. Joan is an Avon native and happy to support the mission of the Avon Historical Society. This is the second year Joan has donated a raffle item to this event."We are excited to share the talents of our local artisans, individuals, garden clubs and residents who are using a table setting as their canvas," said Mary Harrop co-chair of TABLESCAPES. Her co-chair, Sharon Genovese added, "we expect this event to be visually stimulating as well as creative and imaginary - a fun event for all."
