Mexican food and New England have never been close friends, but Puerto Vallarta wants us to get along. Spreading its take on authentic Mexican dining throughout the Hartford area at five locations, this successful chain is a great place to eat some fresh, basic cuisine from south of the border.
Puerto Vallarta started with a single restaurant in Glastonbury in 2000. Well, theyve expanded: there are now five places locally to get Pierna de Puerco (lean spice-marinated, grilled pork leg served on grilled onions, jalapenos and Mexican potatoes), chamoro pibil (baked, wine-marinated lamb shank wrapped in adabo and banana leaves) or some of your more traditional Mexican favorites. You probably wont have to drive very far.
